September, 2023

September was an interesting month most definitely! The abandonment of projects and the expansion of others, excursions, rubber sharks, crochet, the scanning of slides, and 3D printing all were interlaced within it. Things have changed quite a bit, but a lot for the good, and the future is a shiny and mysterious thing that I’m looking forward to exploring.

Jerry the rubber shark of prior blog posts has continued to be a valued member of everyday goings on. In September we met “Baby Jerry” (I call him Barry,) who got into his own shenanigans, and Jerry had some fun in the photo booth.

Hammy the Hamster is also quite the popular fellow ‘round here. He seems to pop up all over the place: at the dinner table, in bed reading the words of L.M Montgomery, or having a sleepover with Tony the pug.

In fact, a lot of correspondence has been taking place with stuffed animals lately. This is what greeted me when I video-called my nephew for the studying of a grammar test.

As most of September is technically still summer, the treehouse continued to take the form of a sauna instead of a creative abode. I didn’t go in it for about two weeks since it was so hot, and when I finally did, discovered that a vine had welcomed itself in and climbed up the wall! It has since been trimmed.

The Christmas nut that I am, I was very excited to see that the Christmas decor had begun to pop up in stores… even if a gigantic candy corn Mickey Mouse loomed over the forest.

A proper 3D printing workshop was set up this month too! So much of this month was dedicated to the project in relation to it, and I’m excited to continue with it in October. Stay tuned on that front!

To mark the end of the month, Fern the guinea pig had quite the traumatizing spa day experience.

A couple of the photos below are from late August, but feature such obscure Adventures they must be popped in here.
(Yes, that is a lizard.)

Onward to October!
